Gimbel’s Bridge

I have always been fascinated by this  NYC version of the bridge of the sighs located between Penn Station and Herald Square. Apparently, commerce is the engine of all things NYC:  Full story from the Bowery Boys.

Justice John Paul Stevens Resignation

I have always found Justice Stevens the most logical and least political of the justices on the modern bench. His opinions were always eloquent, pointed and well argued. He will be missed. The New Yorker profile treatment here.

Eggs Travaganza Cart

One my numerous fall back plans involves opening a restaurant called “Oeuf” solely dedicated to egg dishes from around the world. This dude runs a cart dedicated to the king of all meals – breakfast. We have all been disenchanted by the mediocre bagel and coffee carts. The Eggs Travaganza Cart makes pancakes from scratch, breakfast burritos and chorizo & egg sandwiches. I will be investigating this fine purveyor of egg dishes shortly. Check it out at on the NE corner of 52nd&Park. Serious Eats reviews.
